Where i live the main legal age for everything is 18 (19 for drinking and gambling) and i was just wondering what some of the perks are of becoming an ‘adult’. By this time i will still live with my parents, but what kind of things can they still restrict me from? What kind of things can i just say ‘im 18 now, you cant stop me’ ?

I can see a lot of future arguements going like this:
Me: “im 18 now, i can do what i want. im an adult”
Parents: “not as long as you live under MY roof!” blah blah blah.

You are under their roof, they can legally kick you out to the curb.

Honestly your parents can kick you of the house but if I doubt they’ll do it unless you’re doing drugs or something. The only real difference is that your parents can’t call the cops if you leave without their permission. One perk would be no curfew but I never really followed curfew anyways. The best thing is that you’re closer to 21 (or 19 in your case). Other than that 18 is way overrated.

There are no perks, as long as you live with your parents they can tell you what to do… or they can kick you out.
The only way around it is to move out at 18.

To get around the crap,move out and support yourself. As long as your parents are footing the bill,they make the rules.
