Leave it alone. Compulsive gambling is an ugly disease that kills people and destroys lives.

It’s fine where it is. If a person isn’t responsible enough to handle gambling at age 21, then they likely never will be. It absolutely should NOT be lowered, because even though you may be a legal adult at 18, most people at that age are still too reckless and irresponsible. Plus, many casinos ply their guests with free alcohol, so allowing 18 year olds in to gamble would complicate things for the casinos.
I know a few problem gamblers, and seeing their behavior sometimes makes me think that nobody should be allowed to gamble; but you can’t let a few bad apples ruin it for everyone. My bottom line is that the age should stay the same, because if you can’t handle gambling responsibly at 21, you never will be able to.
Edit: I just want to clarify that I don’t mean what I said negatively–I realize that for some gambling is an addiction; a psychological problem that can be very real and very serious. But what I mean is that for the people who are susceptible to such a compulsion, the age at which they start gambling, be it 21, 25, 30, won’t stop their problem from developing. Just don’t want to offend anyone by minimizing the weight and reality of compulsive gambling.

You see gambling is just like another drog….cigars and alcohol or extreme sports/sex…is the adrenaline..and when you start to like it you can never STOP ! Of course you loose your independence..you are living for gambling/smoking/drinking making ***…all the time..
We must protect the young people! ADICTION is the Word ! Because you like to win. This is the adiction Psy and Physique.
